meet the founder

a 22-year old masters student and president of the alabama mentoring initiative, ibby dickson has been changed forever because of the personal mentors in her life  - so much so that she founded a state-wide campaign, mentoring matters, based off the idea that there is power in people AND power in mentorship…. and now more than ever, our youth NEEDS mentorship.

“Mentorship is common sense, but it is not common practice. On april 8th - april 12th, I am asking Alabama to make mentorship a priority and engage in our 4th annual mentoring matters week.

Take a selfie and post it social media with the hashtag #mentoringmattersweek2024.
